BHAGWAT FINDS LIVELIHOOD IN DROUGHT

Since Vidarbha is a drought prone region, youths face problem of unemployment. Vikas Sahyog Pratishthan with the support of Rangoonwala Foundation India Trust and Edelgive Foundation, works in Skill Development of Youths in Buldhana district of Maharashtra from last 10 years.

A village named Hingna, is situated 9 kms away from Shegaon to Sangrampur Highway. Agriculture is the only source of livelihood in this village. Therefore, VSP conducts various workshops regarding livelihood and trains the youths for their sustainability.

A youth named Bhagwat Morkhede, aged 25 years, was unemployed. When VSP conducted 2 days’ workshop on livelihood in his village, a sense of confidence developed in him regarding obtaining livelihood through business. Then, he decided to further apply for 2 months training conducted by VSP related to motor repairing.

After completing the 2 months training, Bhagwat started a small motor repairing shop in his village. Now he has started earning Rs.2,000 to Rs.2,500 per month which has now solved his problem of unemployment and his monthly expenses. By saving an amount from his monthly income, he has arranged a good amount of capital and has decided to open another shop of motor repairing in Varvant Bokal which is a market area in which Vikas Sahyog Pratishthan is supporting him to show the right path.

He is now known as a Businessman which has overcome the problem of Unemployment.
