Motor Rewinding Training enabled Balu to become Awardee Balu, a resident of Kavathal, a small village, in Sangrampur Block of Buldana district. His life was going through many crisis, his mother was always sick, he could not continue education after SSC, lost his father 6-7 years ago and health wise he too was weak in the family. Due to this, he could not work hard in farming fields along with his brothers to earn a living and hence, he was unemployed. In 2016, one of the village volunteer referred Balu to attend a workshop of VSP on Motor Rewinding which was supported by Rangoonwala Foundation India Trust. Balu was selected for a 2 months training with 15 other youths of nearby villages. After this training, he started to earn Rs.200-300/- on daily basis by repairing electronic appliances such as Televisions, Fans, Motors etc. after the training. Recently, he has established his own Tin Shed Shop near Pathurda Phata, which is a central location connecting 7-8 small village

Thanks Rangoonwala Foundation India Trust (RFIT) for recognizing Mr. Balu Pakhare at 15 th Utkarsh Youth Development Programme Award 2018! It was a moment of Pride for VSP on 20 th January, 2019 where Mr. Balu, one of our beneficiary, received award for “ Imbibing the spirit of Volunteerism” . He belongs to Kavathal village of Sangrampur Block in Buldana district of Maharashtra where VSP with the support of RFIT provided Motor Rewinding Training to Balu and other unemployed youths of the block in 2016. After the training, Balu has opened a tin shed shop near Pathurda Phata from which he is generating a sustainable income for himself. He has trained and employed 1 person and is voluntarily training 6 other youths with his motor rewinding expertise. Vikas Sahyog Pratishthan congratulates him for his outstanding work!!!

74 Youth Volunteers of VSP conducted Public Awareness Campaign Against DENGUE ! Due to rising number of cases during and after monsoon season, Vikas Sahyog Pratishthan (VSP) in partnership with Plan India and in collaboration with Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) launched a campaign to raise public awareness about the methods of Prevention of Dengue in Mumbai and Pune regions of Maharashtra. The campaign covered 40 slum pockets of Mumbai and 30 of Pune. The completed target was to reach out to 2,02,593 households of Mumbai and Pune through which 10,12,965 individuals has been successfully reached. Vikas Sahyog Pratishthan has been working on Quality Education in Buldana district of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. Children from marginalized communities are supported to overcome their educational deficit and reduce dropouts by using innovative Teaching Learning materials. This initiative is supported by National Stock Exchange. Vikas Sahyog Pratishthan (VSP) works on Sustainable Livelihood mainly in drought prone areas of Maharashtra. This video is highlighting the achievements for the year 2016-2017 mainly from Livelihood context. Beneficiaries are introduced to various livelihood models such as Parisar Baug, Poultry and Goatery units. Also, Capital support of agricultural equipment such as Sprinklers and Spiral Separators are provided for increase in production.

Farryl Manek and Marmik Desai began their social internship at Vikas Sahyog Pratishthan (VSP) in February as a part of their MBA program at NMIMS, Mumbai. They had an opportunity to interview 2 women entrepreneurs of Sangrampur block in Buldana District of Vidarbha regions of Maharashtra. Following is the experience shared by the students : A Word with 2 Women Entrepreneurs of Sangrampur -6th February, 2018 As a part of that program, a few days back we had the pleasure of interviewing Usha Tai and Alka Tai, two women from one of VSP's Self-Help Groups in Vidarbha, who they had arranged to visit Mumbai for Pratibimb 2018. Pratibimb is VSP's annual exhibition-cum-sale organized by Rangoonwala Foundation India Trust, where they display and sell completely organic products produced by their various self-help groups and farmers in Vidarbha and other rural regions of Maharashtra.
